The marvelous and ingenious human venture of literature educates us about human values and experiences. Literature represents vast human activities entangled in myriad natural and metaphysical relationships. More specifically, the social, political, economic, culture, spiritual, esthetic, artistic, and linguistic values that literature possesses tackle human, natural, and supernatural phenomena. Literature strongly influences our understanding and knowledge of individuals, groups, societies, humanity, and the world at large. As a result, KRC is committed to rigorous inquiry into the field of literature.

The Center pays special attention to both broad and specific areas within the field. Broader research areas range from ancient to medieval to modern to contemporary literature. In a specific sense, our main research interest includes, but is not limited to: prose; literary theory and criticism; novel and narrative theory; poetry; theory of interpretation; comparative literature; world literature; cinema studies; drama; music; play; theater; and, performance theory. Our research focus also covers: cultural studies; geography, space, and literature; publication forms and book history; theory of reading; digital text; creative writing; science; environment; geography; media; technology; and, theories of creativity.
